We are thrilled to introduce our brand-new Venture Scout Program catering to both entrepreneurs and investors.
Here’s how our program works:
Step 1: Look for a promising founder or company seeking Seed or Series A funding.
Step 2: Complete the Startup Referral Form to introduce them to us.
Step 3: If we decide to invest, we’ll compensate you for your valuable assistance and expertise in identifying, evaluating, and negotiating the investment. You’ll receive 20% of our carry on the initial investment.
For example, our usual carry per investment is 20%. If we invest $200k in a company that you referred to us, you’ll get 20% of our carry, which is equivalent to making a $8,000 investment in the company yourself.
Furthermore, if you choose to invest your own money in the company, you won’t have to pay any carry on your personal investment. That’s a double win!

At Eight Ventures, we believe in democratizing access to early-stage VC and making angel investing more accessible to a wider audience.
Our Scout Program not only lets you take part in the value creation of exceptional companies you identify but also allows you to design your own VC training by refining your skills in recognizing promising investment prospects through analysis and feedback.
Our Investment Criteria are as follows:
Industries: Although we are industry-agnostic, we focus on software/technology, Bio/Med/Health, Climate.
Verticals: Our preferred domains include B2B enterprise SaaS, marketplaces, platforms, fintech, blockchain, AI/ML/Generative AI, payments, logistics, analytics, security, as well as certain B2C consumer software applications such as e-commerce, gaming, and subscriptions.
Stage, Traction & Check Size: We invest in Seed to Series A stages and prefer companies that are post-revenue and post-product, with a maximum post-money valuation of $25M USD. Our typical investment amount ranges from $50k to $350k USD.
Round Dynamics: Although we don’t lead rounds, we like to participate alongside notable angel or VC who is leading and has set the terms. We usually invest in a SAFE, Convertible Note or Preferred Shares (not Common), and we require pro-rata if it’s our first time investing in the company.
Geography: Our geographic focus is on companies registered in USA, Europe and Asia.
